YIKES! Bags of Poop Thrown at Home of Socialist Official Who Led “Defund The Police” Movement, Now She Needs Their Help

On Thursday, an unidentified man was spotted on surveillance camera throwing bags of poop at the home of Seattle councilmember Kshama Sawant who is known for being a spearhead of the defund the police movement in the area.

Sawant is a self-described socialist that is now complaining that the police force is not properly investigating the SIX such instances of politically motivated attacks on her home. The 3rd District Representative wrote a letter suggesting she deserved police protection.

“There is obviously a glaring inconsistency between this approach and the way in which former Mayor Durkan, after a peaceful Black Lives Matter protest was held a short distance from her mansion, was provided with a 24-hour stakeout for a full year,” Sawant wrote.

“As a socialist City Councilmember who has participated in Black Lives Matter protests, I am being told that my case of six threatening incidents involving human excrement doesn’t merit even a serious investigation, let alone protection.”

The irony is unmissable as her Seattle Police Department has hit a 30-year low of staff members as officers left during the Defund the Police movement.

The police released a statement asking for help identifying the criminal saying, “Friends of the victim were watching the home when the suspect threw a plastic bag, containing several individual bags of suspected human feces, into the yard,” the police said.

“The friends confronted the suspect and snapped multiple photos as he ran away. Witnesses described the suspect, pictured below, as an Asian man, approximately 5-foot 4-inches tall.”

Sawant is expected to file a complaint about the police’s failure to act, in response to this and her comments they said: “The department takes incidents involving public officials seriously, and investigators have canvassed for evidence, gathered information from witnesses and reviewed everything collected thus far.”

“At this time, the department has not found any evidence this case would meet the city or state standards for hate crime laws, but SPD will follow available leads should new information arise. The department encourages anyone with additional information about this case to contact police,” the police responded.

Capitol Hill Seattle reported Sawant had received threats in the past: “Threats against her have made past headlines but the latest incident involves a more direct assault on the councilmember’s private life and follows a disturbing incident earlier this year involving an armed man making threats outside the Seattle home of Rep. Pramila Jayapal.”
