The rumors of Joy Behar finally leaving ABC’s weekday morning show “The View” may be true.
The notorious talk show host hinted toward early retirement in an interview about her book “Ladies Who Punch: The Explosive Inside Story of the View.”
“I have a three-year contract,” Behar referenced. “But that doesn’t mean I can’t leave if I want to because they can’t really do anything to me at this point.”
“I don’t see myself staying for more time. That’s it! I could be wrong. If I’m fabulous in 2022 as I am now, I’ll think about it. But the chances of that happening … You know, time marches on. I’m not a kid.”
Many point out Joy Behar’s inconsiderate false comments that she displays on the famous show.
It’s hard to single her out because every co-host has their moment often, as Whoopi Goldberg, for example, was suspended earlier this year for her remarks about the Holocaust.
Behar called former President Donal Trump a “disgusting racist” and accused his supporters of being the same.
Joy Behar on Trump's "ask China" response to @weijia: "He’s a disgusting racist…And we know it when he goes after China and he goes after a Chinese-American girl…and anybody who still supports this guy needs to look in the mirror and ask themselves if they are racist also." pic.twitter.com/weNCM5hVS0

Behar was called out for wearing blackface years ago. “The View” had guest Donald Trump Jr. on the show in an attempt to rip him and his family apart, but Trump wasn’t afraid of the race baiters and called Behar out for her unforgivable act of dressing up in blackface.
“President Trump called some Mexicans rapists, attacked the handicapped, bragged about it,” she yelled. “We heard the ‘Access’ tape, where he bragged about grabbing women by their genitalia.”
“We’ve all done things that we regret, I mean if we’re talking about bringing a discourse down, Joy, you’ve worn blackface,” Trump Jr jabbed back.
“No I have not,” Behar explained.
“I know blackface when I see it and that was not blackface,” her comrade Whoopi Goldberg jumped in.
“Excuse me. Excuse me. The Black community had my back. they know that was not blackface, that was homage.”
Joy Behar admitted during a taping of The View in 2016 to dressing as a “beautiful African women” at a Halloween party when she was 29 which involved makeup “that was a little bit darker than my skin”

In an interview with Time regarding her blackface incident, Behar said, “For me, it was like, ‘Look at how pretty I can look as a woman dressed like this.’ It wasn’t anything close to blackface. It was bronzer, which I used with my natural curly hair. And the Black community had my back because they understand what blackface is.”
They may not be the brightest for America on weekday mornings, but their crew carries much influence having an appealing status.
