Since Elon Musk’s acquisition of Twitter, the left has steadily turned away from the social media platform, criticizing the owner and the way he now runs things.
Celebrities and companies have chastised Twitter, saying that they aren’t comfortable on the platform and some have even left the app.
In his short time at Twitter, Musk has made significant changes to the platform and very recently the entrepreneur mogul revealed that before his acquisition Twitter interfered with elections.
How they did this has not been released yet, but in a response to a Reuters’ tweet, Musk stated that before his ownership the company has been unsafe and untrustworthy for years.

In response to the Reuters tweet a user said, “Twitter has shown itself to be not safe for the past 10 years and has lost users’ trust. The past team of ‘trust and safety’ is a disgrace, so it doesn’t have any right to judge what is being done now. They had a chance, but they sold their souls to a corporation.”
Musk responded to this comment saying, “Exactly. The obvious reality, as long-time users know, is that Twitter has failed in trust & safety for a very long time and has interfered in elections. Twitter 2.0 will be far more effective, transparent and even-handed.”

To what extent Twitter has interfered with elections is unsure, but a tweet from Musk said “The Twitter Files on free speech suppression soon to be published on Twitter itself. The public deserves to know what really happened …”

These claims can’t be taken lightly as many believe the social media platform interfered with the 2020 Presidential election by suppressing the Hunter Biden story released by the New York Post.
At the time this story was believed to be “fake news,” but as the years have gone on it has been revealed that not only was it true, but it likely involved our current President Joe Biden.
