On Saturday, Arizona Assistant Attorney General Jennifer Wright joined Republican Kari Lake in her speculation surrounding voting issues during the gubernatorial election.
“These complaints go beyond pure speculation, but include first-hand witness accounts that raise concerns regarding Maricopa’s lawful compliance with Arizona election law,” Wright wrote in a letter.
“Arizonans deserve a full report and accounting of the myriad problems that occurred in relation to Maricopa County’s administration of the 2022 General Election,” she continued.
Daily Mail, who first reported this letter, explained Wright’s letter and said, “that at least 60 locations had problems because of ballot-on-demand printers that had printer configuration settings that were ‘non-uniform,’ meaning they could not be read by tabulating machines.”
In the wake of this reporting, Lake is refusing to concede and consulting lawyers to contest the election.
“Rest assured I have assembled the best and brightest legal team, and we are exploring every avenue to correct the many wrongs that have been done this past week,” Lake said. “I’m doing everything in my power to right these wrongs.”
Sean Hannity spoke with the candidate and gave his thoughts saying: “In Arizona, Kari Lake is confident the remaining votes will put her over the top, but it will take days or however long it takes and at what cost. Here now with the very latest, Arizona Republican gubernatorial candidate Kari Lake. This is a national disgrace.”
Lake was adamant that she would win the Arizona gubernatorial race as ballots were continuing to be counted.
“I’m really suffering because we worked hard on that campaign, our followers have been so passionate and they’re waiting on pins and needles. I want them to know tonight I’m 100% confident we win this,” Lake said during the interview with Hannity.
Following the results of the election, Lake issued a defiant tweet saying “Arizonans know BS when they see it.”
In the past, Lake has been one of the top Republicans voicing their concerns over voter fraud and criticizing election results. Given that it will be interesting to see how the Republicans respond to the unexpected defeat.
