BREAKING: Elon Musk Confirms Twitter Shadow Banned Political Candidates Ahead of Elections Effectively Engaging in Election Interference

Twitter CEO Elon Musk confirmed today that political candidates were subject to “shadow-banning” on Twitter when running for office.

“So here’s a question for [Elon Musk] and [Bari Weiss]: were any political candidates — either in the U.S. or elsewhere — subject to shadowbanning while they were running for office or seeking re-election?” tweeted conservative commentator Ian Miles Cheong.

“Yes,” Musk responded, to Cheong confirming what many conservatives had speculated for years, only to be labeled as “conspiracy theorists” by liberal pundits online.

Former New York Times reporter Bari Weiss released the second version of Twitter Files on Thursday exposing details of how Twitter’s former leadership, at the top level was involved with censorship and shadow banning of conservative accounts.

Musk announced on Thursday that upcoming changes to Twitter would identify if any account has been “shadow-banned” as well as specific steps to reverse the censorship mechanism.

“Twitter is working on a software update that will show your true account status, so you know clearly if you’ve been shadowbanned, the reason why and how to appeal,” he tweeted.

In Twitter Files 2, Weiss showed specific conservative figures like commentator Dan Bongino, Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk, and LibsOfTikTok, among other accounts that were specifically targeted for censorship on Twitter.

Twitter’s former CEO Jack Dorsey, under oath had denied existence of any censorship mechanism back in Sept. 2018 in a congressional hearing.

In the first edition of Twitter files, independent reporter Matt Taibbi reported that Twitter’s internal team working in coordination with the Biden campaign and the Democratic Party to engage in politically motivated censorship and Twitter’s internal decision-making process and justification for censoring the Hunter Biden laptop bombshell from The New York Times.

Both of these reports have proven Twitter’s involvement in censoring opposing views and its effective interference with elections.

Weiss has teased that there would be a third installment of the “Twitter Files,” but no specific timeline has been announced yet.
