BREAKING: NASCAR Suspends Bubba Wallace After Intentionally Wrecking and Assaulting Reigning Champion

After forcing another driver off the track thus causing a wreck at a NASCAR event and getting into a physical altercation with the other driver, Bubba Wallace has been suspended by the racing organization.

The incident occurred during a race in Las Vegas where Wallace intentionally clipped the reigning champion Kyle Larson’s car, causing both drivers to spin out. Following the wreck Wallace, who was noticeably irate, exited his vehicle and approached Larson then started shoving him. Larson refrained from retaliation and later said that he understood why Wallace was so upset, as Larson made a very aggressive maneuver on Wallace earlier in the race.

Regardless of the motivation, intentionally wrecking a competitor’s car in NASCAR is extremely dangerous and frowned upon by the culture of racing.

Yahoo Sports reported on NASCAR’s move to suspend the reckless driver saying, “Wallace is the first NASCAR driver suspended for a race since Matt Kenseth in 2015, who got two races for intentionally crashing Joey Logano at Martinsville in retaliation for an incident weeks earlier. In its penalty report announcing Wallace’s punishment, NASCAR cited the rule that gives it discretion to penalize drivers who ‘intentionally wreck or spin another vehicle, whether or not that vehicle is removed from competition as a result.’”

“23XI Racing said it wouldn’t appeal Wallace’s suspension and that Truck Series driver and former full-time Cup Series driver John Hunter Nemechek would fill in for Wallace at Homestead,” the report continued.

Bubba Wallace is no stranger to the spotlight as in the past he was accused of having a noose in his garage.

During this time he got into a Twitter battle with former President Donald Trump who asked “Has @BubbaWallace apologized to all of those great NASCAR drivers & officials who came to his aid, stood by his side, & were willing to sacrifice everything for him, only to find out that the whole thing was just another HOAX? That & Flag decision has caused lowest ratings EVER!”

Wallace responded saying “HATE from the POTUS,” continuing with “All the haters are doing is elevating your voice and platform to much greater heights.”
