BREAKING NEWS! Kevin McCarthy Vows Repealing 87,000 IRS Agent Funding if Speaker

House Rep Kevin McCarthy is highlighting his priorities if elected to be the next Speaker of the House as rumors continue to swirl questioning his expected elevation to the position. McCarthy has explained his removal of Democrats from committees and repealing of the 87,000 IRS funded earlier this year.

“On day one, in this House, we will repeal 87,000 IRS agents,” McCarthy said. “We will use the power of the purse – the size of our debt has to stop.”

This discussion was sparked over the Democrat’s Inflation Reduction Act which included 80 million in funding directed to the IRS. This has been a hot topic of debate among Republicans since its passing.

On Fox News’s “Sunday Morning Futures ” McCarthy told host Maria Bartiromo “Another change you’re going to get: Adam Schiff will no longer be on the Intel Committee when I become Speaker. I promised that more than two years ago.”

“[Democrats] also used the intel community as well to lie to the American public. Should those people keep their clearances? Should those people still be allowed to have information? If they’re going to be political individuals, then, no, they should not. And this is just the tip of the iceberg of what we need to investigate going forward,” McCarthy said.

McCarthy was speaking at the Republican Jewish Coalition’s 2022 leadership meeting in Las Vegas when he called out Omar’s anti-semitic sentiments. “We watch anti-Semitism grow, not just on our campuses, but we watched it grow In the halls of Congress,” McCarthy said.

“I promised you last year that as speaker she will no longer be on Foreign Affairs, and I’m keeping that promise,” he concluded to cheers from the crowd.

The California Rep is also possibly making some concessions to Democrats in order to secure the votes for Speaker. Most famously, it is being reported that McCarthy may reduce the requirements needed to oust a sitting Speaker from their seat.

Internal debates between Republicans are causing a small rift in the party. House members and voters are torn on who would be the best candidate for the position.

McCarthy may or may not have the votes to win the Speaker and the American people will be waiting for the official vote expected coming later in January.
