Joe Biden’s impending impeachment seems inevitable. Republican lawmakers have prepared impeachment articles and made a myriad of statements that indicate 2022 is the year Biden will be impeached as President.

Months ago, Republican lawmakers led by Ohio Rep. Bob Gibbs wanted President Joe Biden out of office and filed articles of impeachment against him. Gibbs claimed the President violated his oath of office on three points, according to text obtained by Daily Mail

The southern border crisis, the eviction moratorium, and Biden’s botched withdrawal from Afghanistan. Reps. Andy Biggs of Arizona, Brian Babin of Texas and Randy Weber of Texas are co-sponsors on the effort.

“Yesterday I filed three articles of impeachment against President Biden based on what I believe to be clear violations of his duties as president,” Gibbs told the Daily Mail after introducing his articles of impeachment.

“His willful negligence of the border crisis is a failure to maintain and defend American sovereignty. Biden’s attempts to extend a federal eviction moratorium despite the Supreme Court’s warning and his own admission that he has no power to do so is a blatant and intentional action that violates the separation of powers.”

Rep. Jim Jordan of Ohio, the top Republican on the House Judiciary Committee who is poised to control the panel if the GOP takes over next year, said Republicans must consider impeaching President Biden. He said the GOP should weigh impeaching Mr. Biden for failures in office, most notably his administration’s inability to stop a massive influx of illegal immigration through the southern border.

House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy on Sunday dismissed a question about whether or not he plans to introduce articles of impeachment against President Joe Biden, despite others in his party recently floating the idea.

When asked if he was considering moving forward with impeachment McCarthy said:

“Look, the one thing we learned that the Democrats did, is they used impeachment for political reasons. We believe in the rule of law. We’re not going to pick and choose just because somebody has power,” adding that “at any time if someone breaks the law” impeachment may be considered “but we’re not going to use it for political purposes.”

Other Republican lawmakers have called for Biden to be impeached, including Reps. Madison Cawthorn and Marjorie Taylor Greene.
