On Sunday, Maryland Democratic Rep. Jamie Raskin went on to CBS’s “Face The Nation” to voice his fears that the Republicans in the House will vote Former President Donald Trump as Speaker once they have the majority.
Trump is expected to announce his presidential bid Tuesday, but Raskin claims some lawmakers are talking about this possibility.
Raskin said, “One potential candidate whose name has been floated is Donald Trump himself, because the Speaker of the House does not have to be a member of the House. And they are talking about putting Trump right there.”
No matter who you support for 2024, you cannot doubt that under President Trump we saw an America that was thriving in ways no one ever believed it could!

Raskin was then challenged on this possibility by host Margaret Brennan, he then responded “Well, they talk about it repeatedly, and if Trump decided he wanted to do it, it would pose a profound problem for their party because they refuse to do the right thing.”
“And they might just vote for Trump, when they, you know, take the roll call for speaker. So, we know that the hard right Freedom Caucus people are in search of another candidate and one potential candidate whose name has been floated is Donald Trump himself, because the speaker of the House does not have to be a member of the House. And they are talking about putting Trump right there,” Raskin continued.
This all comes with reports that current House Speaker Nancy Pelosi will step down soon, possibly immediately following this midterm election. With the attack on her husband and her loss of power in the House, these reports became increasingly understandable.
Trump is running and there is nothing you can do about it. I will be voting for him and there is nothing you can do about that.

The Republicans faltered in the midterms, not hitting the big “red wave” everyone was expecting and Republican leaders are suggesting Trump’s appearance would be a resurgence to the Republican voice.
Conservative voice Candace Owens explained Trump’s chances on Fox News saying, “They’re wondering about what the leadership looks like. And I am not at all under any impression that Trump can’t win in 2024. No. What I am saying is that Trump needs to take a good look in the mirror.”
