A freshman Republican House candidate, Harriet Hageman, secured a decisive victory in Wyoming’s at-large district Tuesday night by defeating her Democrat challenger, Lynnette Grey Bull, and officially replacing incumbent, RINO Liz Cheney.
Decision Desk HQ along with other outlets projected Hageman as the winner at around 11 pm eastern time Tuesday night.
“Thank you, Wyoming. I am honored to represent you and I will always put Wyoming first,” she tweeted in response to the results.

Hageman is a relative newcomer to politics and is an attorney based out of Wyoming. She won a majority, 69.99% of the state’s votes in the General election this Tuesday with an estimated 91% of the votes in. Her Democrat challenger on the other hand only managed to secure 24.67% of the votes.
Wyoming Republican Senators John Barrasso, and Cynthia Lummis celebrated this massive victory and wrote a joint statement congratulating the America-First candidate.
“Congratulations to Harriet Hageman on her decisive victory tonight,” Sen. John Barrasso wrote. “I look forward to working side by side with Harriet along with Senator Lummis for Wyoming. Together, we will be a reliable, conservative and effective team. We will focus on issues that matter most to the people of Wyoming: unleashing American energy, fighting inflation, securing our border and cutting wasteful Washington spending.”
“Harriet Hageman has spent a lifetime defending Wyoming’s natural resources while championing our people, businesses and rural way of life, and I am pleased she will be taking this experience and commitment to Wyoming to Congress,” Sen. Cynthia Lummis wrote. “She is the conservative fighter our state needs in the U.S. House of Representatives and will be an excellent teammate for Senator Barrasso and I in Washington.”
Hageman is a relative newcomer to politics. She previously attempted a run for Wyoming governor in 2018 but lost to the incumbent Republican Governor, Mark Gordon in the primary.
This was her second run for public office and she successfully outran the incumbent, RINO Liz Cheney with a double-digit primary victory in August 2022. Rep. Cheney, who famously voted to impeach President Trump, saw an embarrassing victory in the primary and secured just 28.9% votes in the district, while Hageman was supported by the overwhelming voters, 66.3%.
Hageman had the backing of the Wyoming Republican Party which censured Liz Cheney after a series of non-conservative votes, and her decision to support Democrat’s decision to unconstitutionally impeach President Trump.
After being ousted by her own party, Cheney went on to endorse and fundraise for many Democrat candidates, including Michigan Congresswoman, Rep. Elissa Slotkin, who was running against Republican Tom Barrett. Cheney also famously encouraged her supporters not to support Republican Ohio Senate candidate, J.D. Vance, who on Tuesday went on to defeat his Democrat challenger, Tim Ryan with America First policies.
Cheney’s PAC, The Great Task, also worked on running $500,000 worth of negative ads against Arizona Republican Gubernatorial candidate Kari Lake, and Secretary of State candidate, Mark Finchem.
