GO WOKE GO BROKE! Apple Resumes Full Advertising on Twitter After Elon Works Out Differences With CEO Tim Cook

Elon Musk’s first month as head of Twitter has been rocky but his first major issue of making the company profitable is working to be solved. Although many advertisers, like Apple, left the social media platform upon Musk’s arrival, Chief Twit Musk has announced they have returned.

The biggest problem the Tesla billionaire faced when he walked into Twitter HQ was making the company money. His first big idea was Twitter Blue, where users could pay $8 a month for verification status on the platform.

This announcement came with much scrutiny and was just the beginning of the many changes the new team was implementing to Twitter. These changes caused many advertisers to leave the platform, fearing unsafe conditions.

Elon Musk tweeted a hateful message toward one of the company’s biggest advertisers Apple after reports they were cutting ties with the app. This tweet said:

“Apple has mostly stopped advertising on Twitter. Do they hate free speech in America?” Musk also added, “What’s going on here @tim_cook?”

Just days after this tweet, Musk posted a photo of himself at Apple’s headquarters, announcing a meeting he was having with Tim Cook, head of Apple, to discuss the split. Musk returned with good news, saying it was a misunderstanding and Apple will continue advertising on the app.

“Good conversation. Among other things, we resolved the misunderstanding about Twitter potentially being removed from the App Store. Tim was clear that Apple never considered doing so,” Musk tweeted.

As the company continues to flourish under Musk, reportedly many of the advertisers that left a month ago are returning. Twitter itself continues to herald record statistics in-app user amounts, user time, and a record low in hate speech.

The success of Musk’s tenure is shocking to most, as the company boasts these statistics after laying off over 50% of its staff, leaving many users tweeting “ what were those workers doing there?”

Twitter will continue to work to make money as they roll out new ideas to reach its end goal of being a profitable app. Advertisers returning and Twitter Blue are only the first month of this new leadership. There is more to come.
