TV and radio personality Adam Carolla doubled down on his comments about Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and refused to apologize. Carolla originally spoke with Sean Hannity and said “If AOC was fat and in her 60s, would anyone listen to another thing she ever said?”
This statement was made during an exchange on the Sean Hannity Show that began with Whoopi Goldberg’s suspension from The View. Then Carolla brought in AOC saying “If AOC was fat and in her 60s, would anyone listen to another thing she ever said?” Carolla said.
“She is young, she is vibrant and she is beautiful and everyone is always putting a camera or a mic in her face,” he continued. “Her opinions are idiotic 95 percent of the time, and I don’t think if she was a middle-aged, heavy-set woman, anyone would care what she had to say.”

Hannity said he did not agree with Carolla’s conclusion. He said you can criticize her ideas as he does this all the time, but he doesn’t agree with the statement. Hannity did support Carolla in his reflection of AOC’s influence and said she “has got the whole Democratic party following her.”
This brings us to Monday where during an interview with reporter John Stossel, the discussion was brought up and Adam Carolla said that he refuses to apologize.
Carolla said, “Apologizing just leads to more apologizing. They want you to apologize because they want dominion over you. And once you apologize, they just keep coming back.”
“I don’t have a choice as to what I say. It has to be the truth all the time. I’m a comedian. It’s a sacred oath I took. It’s what I do.”
“But what Carolla said is simply true,” Stossel agreed “Nobody pays much attention to House freshmen. Ocasio-Cortez is a political celebrity simply because she’s pretty, and also, she speaks without constantly saying ‘uh.’”
This came after AOC brought attention to her looks and their effect on Congress as she tweeted “If Republicans are mad they can’t date me they can just say that, instead of projecting their sexual frustrations onto my boyfriend’s feet.”
“It’s starting to get old ignoring the very obvious, strange, and deranged sexual frustrations that underpin the Republican fixation on me, women,& LGBT+ people in general,” she continued
“These people clearly need therapy, won’t do it, and use politics as their outlet instead. It’s really weird.”
