As the Biden administration fails to secure the American border, the state of Texas is taking the initiative to prevent excessive damage and control the flow of illegal migrants into the country as much as possible.
Part of the lone star state’s “enhanced border security effort” is sending over 400 Texas National Guard troops and State Troopers to the border town, El Paso.
Troops operating under the Texas Military Department have formed a line on the bank of the Rio Grande river that seeks to tackle illegal immigrants from crossing into the country and surrendering to the Border Patrol agents serving under the Biden administration.
The Texas Military Department shared images of these 36th Infantry Division troops constructing a makeshift border wall to apprehend illegal migrants from crossing into the country.

The Texas Tribune reported that over 1,000 yards of razor wire has been placed in the area this week.
Fox News border correspondent Bill Melugin documented similar efforts reporting that “Concertina wire deployed and Humvees lining up in same area where massive caravan crossed last week.”

El Paso’s Democrat Mayor, Oscar Leeser this month declared a state of emergency over concerns about the increased flow of illegal migrants as Trump-era policy Title 42 was set to be lifted by the Biden administration.
The Texas Military Department further announced on Monday that the National Guard was deploying airlift assets from the 136th Airlift Wing in Fort Worth.
The Texas National Guard has activated and deployed airlift assets from the 136th Airlift Wing in Fort Worth, Texas. These aircraft and support personnel have been on alert status since last Thursday.

Four C-130J cargo aircraft were expedited for the “movement of Soldiers and equipment to El Paso” as part of Republican Governor Greg Abbott’s latest security initiative.
“The deployment includes a Security Response Force composed of elements of the 606th Military Police Battalion mobilizing to El Paso, Texas,” stated the Texas Military Department. “A second Security Response Force from the 236th MP Company remains on high alert, prepared to deploy if needed, to other areas of the border.”
The governor’s office released a statement on Tuesday announcing that in addition to the Texas Military Department, Gov. Abbott is working with the state’s Department of Public Safety and Division of Emergency Management to deal with the mass inflow of illegal immigrants.
Gov. Abbott wrote to Joe Biden on Tuesday, saying, “This terrible crisis for border communities in Texas is a catastrophe of your own making.”
“Texas has borne a lopsided burden caused by your open border policies. The need to address this crisis is not the job of border states like Texas,” Gov. Abbott wrote to Biden in a letter. “Instead, the U.S. Constitution dictates that it is your job, Mr. President, to defend the borders of our country, regulate our nation’s immigration, and manage those who seek refuge here.”
I sent a letter to President Biden demanding he deploy federal assets to our border as a polar vortex moves into Texas.
It is Biden’s constitutional duty to address this crisis. Texas will continue to step up in his absence.
