The two most beloved and hated governors in America, Florida’s Ron DeSantis and Texas’ Greg Abbott have won re-election in landslide figures.
As the Democrats from all over attempted to support Charlie Crist and Beto O’rourke in their coup attempts, the Republicans persevered.
Ron DeSantis will enter his second term as Governor of Florida after his 19-point victory this year. DeSantis is a popular Republican candidate for the 2024 Presidential election through his claims he will continue as Governor throughout his 4-year term.
While many expected a tight race, Greg Abbott will serve his third term as Texas Governor after an 11-point victory. Many liberal leaders championed a potential Beto push to overtake Abbott, but the wide-margin win solidified the Republican position in the state.

The two Governors have made major headlines throughout the country over the years for their outspoken positions. Most notably the two shipped immigrants throughout the country to bring attention to their issues with the border system.
Both incumbents are villains of the left as they continue their tenure as two of the faces of the GOP for years to come.
DeSantis’ will become interesting as many look at him as the Trump replacement. Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich said on “Fox & Friends,” “I think Governor DeSantis is the single biggest winner of the night… He will almost certainly become the rallying point for everybody in the Republican Party who wants to move beyond President Trump.”
In the face of a life-altering accident, determination drove me to never give up.
That same determination drives me to keep Texas STRONG.

While less likely, many consider Abbott a potential 2024 candidate as well. Abbott’s campaign denies this possibility and claims that the Governor’s only concern now is Texas.
Fox News described this campaign as similar to a presidential campaign saying:
“But it was also very evident that during his re-election run, Abbott campaigned as much against President Biden and national Democrats nearly as much as he did against O’Rourke, which appeared to be indication of his possible national ambitions.”
