The education system has taken a turn in recent times as curriculum in some states have changed to support the teachings of critical race theory. Along with CRT, there has been an influx in materials that are hypersexualized and are very influential to children’s development.
Governor of North Dakota, Kristi Noem, is an avid opponent against these teachings and put legislation in place that will ban specific race and ethnicity based curriculums.
Kristi Noem signed a bill that bans North Dakota public colleges and universities from using materials that pressure students to feel discomfort based on their race and ethnicity.
The bill is intended to “protect students and employees at institutions of higher education from divisive concepts,” according to the legislation.
Time and again Governor Noem has criticized critical race theory, an academic framework that centers on racism being a systemic part of the nation’s universities.
“No student or teacher should have to endorse Critical Race Theory in order to attend, graduate from, or teach at our public universities,” Noem’s release said. “College should remain a place where freedom of thought and expression are encouraged, not stifled by political agendas.”
Along with the major HB 1012 bill Governor Noem signed 11 other broad educational bills seeking funding for health sciences education materials, approval for new education infrastructure, and revisions to the review board of teacher’s compensation.
“This session, we also made targeted investments in job training for key career fields like nursing and skilled manufacturing,” said Governor Noem. “We want our kids and grandkids to get the best training possible so that they can fill available jobs right here in South Dakota.”
Another victory of this nature was recently secured as “Parental Rights in education group, Moms for Liberty, endorsed several anti-woke school board members” in 2022 midterms and “Many of their endorsements secured major victories in elections across the country.”
“Some of these school boards held their first meetings and made decisions that effectively eliminated far-left radical ideologies that were supported by the previous board,” Raging Americans reported.
