Florida Republican Governor Ron DeSantis has assured that he will continue his effort of re-locating illegal immigrants as a protest to Joe Biden and the federal government’s open border policies.
Florida’s Department of Transportation (FDOT) recent purchase order signed with the Vertol Systems Company, a transportation service provider in Florida reveals that the sunshine state can continue to relocate illegal migrants to Democrat-run cities for at least another eight months.
“The proposed Services include, but are not limited to, Project management, aircraft, crew, maintenance logistics, fuel, coordination and planning, route preparation, route services, landing fees, ground handling and logistics, and other Project-related expenses,” the contract reads.
The state of Florida had already paid Vertol $615,000 to send 50 passengers elsewhere for planes that flew out September 7 and 15 causing mass liberal hysteria.
The state has allocated a total of $12 million to relocate more illegal migrants out of its jurisdiction to liberal cities.
“The contract reveals three tiers of prices: $325,000 per flight for up to eight passengers, $485,000 a flight for up to 25 passengers, and $625,000 a flight for up to 65 passengers,” Townhall Media reports.
This report comes as longtime pro-open border leaders of liberal cities like New York, and Washington D.C. are requesting the federal government’s help in order to manage mass illegal immigrant inflow from Texas and Arizona.
Governor DeSantis’ office notes that the illegal immigrants removed from their state would be transported to states and cities with governors and mayors celebrating and promoting Joe Biden’s open border policies, and inviting millions of illegal immigrants to the country. The governor notes that Floridians should not be held responsible for facilitating the migrants’ cost of living when open border democrats are the ones inviting them over.
“It is not the responsibility of Floridians to subsidize aliens to reside in our state unlawfully; we did not consent to Biden’s open-borders agenda,” the Governor’s office remarked at the time of the program’s launch.
