The problems Americans face due to immigrants illegally entering our country have been serious for a long time, but under the Biden administration we have seen these stressors rise immensely as numbers of migrants crossing the border has increased and so has the amount of fentanyl being brought into the country, a dangerous drug that is often used to cut cocaine.
The Biden administration seems keen on doing nothing to remedy the southern border and now they are receiving immense criticism from the public, most recently actor James Woods.
At a time Woods was a major figure in Hollywood starring in many reputable films, but now he allocates his time in the spotlight for his conservative leaning political commentary.
Woods recently spoke out on the situation at the southern border after Bill Melugin, a Fox News reporter who has been covering the border invasion for over a year wrote, “A huge migrant caravan of over 1,000 people crossed illegally into El Paso, TX last night, making it the largest single group we have ever seen. The city of El Paso reports Border Patrol now has over 5,000 in custody & has released hundreds to city streets.”

Woods responded to Melugin’s post saying “Democrats are allowing the destruction of our Republic by an unfettered invasion of our non-existent southern border. Shame on this president, and shame on any American who voted for this and now turns a blind eye.”
“The open border policy of the Biden administration is rotting our Republic from within. With the unceasing invasion, witnessed yet ignored daily, comes the drug plague and its unadulterated horrors. Shame on this president and his cackling ‘drug czar’ VP,” the latter a reference to Vice President Kamala Harris,” the tweet concluded.
In response to Woods’, Matthew Kolken, an immigration lawyer said, “As a deportation lawyer with 25 years years experience I can attest that there is virtually no enforcement of the immigration law in the interior of the country, which has created an irresistible magnet.”
The situation at the southern border is only getting worse. It can be hoped that pressure from the public will force the hand of the Biden administration, but history tells that nothing is likely to change.
