To no surprise, foreign entities are fed up with Joe Biden, but what for this time?
European officials expressed their concerns with Biden over his handling of America’s part in the Russia-Ukraine War.
Officials have accused Biden and the USA of profiting from the war, not attempting to remedy the problems that are continuing the battles.
A European official spoke with Politico saying, “The fact is, if you look at it soberly, the country that is most profiting from this war is the U.S. because they are selling more gas and at higher prices, and because they are selling more weapons.”
The official continued saying, “We are really at a historic juncture. America needs to realize that public opinion is shifting in many EU countries.”
European officials are unsure of where America stands in this war as the United States’ actions in the war have negatively affected many countries in Europe.
“Americans, our friends, take decisions which have an economic impact on us,” said Josep Borrell, EU’s chief diplomat.
Thierry Breton, the European Commissioner for the Internal Market said “The United States sells us its gas with a multiplier effect of four when it crosses the Atlantic. Of course, the Americans are our allies, but when something goes wrong, it is necessary also between allies to say it.”
Other officials have criticized Biden’s policies regarding trade and subsidy expressing dissent towards Congress.
“The Inflation Reduction Act is very worrying. The potential impact on the European economy is very big,” Dutch Trade Minister Liesje Schreinemacher stated.
The European Parliament’s lead official, Tonino Picula, said “The U.S. is following a domestic agenda, which is regrettably protectionist and discriminates against U.S. allies.”
Half a world away under the leadership of Joe Biden, the United States is negatively affecting European countries as the administration’s handling of the Russia-Ukraine War continues to falter.
