On Saturday, former President Donald Trump’s Daughter in law, Lara Trump, was dropped from Fox News where she served as a contributor. The main reason appearing to be a conflict with her relative announcing he is running for President in 2024.
“We appreciate Lara’s valuable contributions across Fox News Media programming,” Fox News said in a statement. This move is seen as a protocol decision that is out of the company’s hands.
Wife of Eric Trump, Lara has been a contributor to the network since March of 2021. While she can not be paid by the network for her appearances, she is expected to reappear to campaign on behalf of the Donald Trump campaign.
The practice of releasing Fox News contributors for being associated with candidacy, started with Sara Huckabee Sanders when she launched her run for Governor of Arkansas in 2019.

Former President Trump made his long-awaited announcement at Mar-A-Lago that he will be running again for President in 2024.
Trump made a resounding speech, with a similar tone to his original slogan in 2016 “Make America Great Again.” The speech focused on continuing what he started in office and digging the country out of the “ditch” Washington has created with him gone.
“In order to make America great and glorious again. I am tonight announcing my candidacy for president of the United States,” Trump said.
“But just as I promised in 2016, I am your voice. I am your voice. The Washington establishment wants to silence us, but we will not let them do that. What we have built together over the past six years is the greatest movement in history because it is not about politics. It’s about our love for this great country, America, and we’re not going to let it fail,” said Trump.
Apart from announcing his candidacy, Trump has done very little since his bid for President. Trump has stuck to posting on his social media platform Truth Social which may be a vital decision if he fails to transfer back to the platform he was most known for, Twitter.
