“Let’s Go Brandon,” the chant that spread across the country as Americans used it to express their frustration with President Joe Biden has once again been heard as Biden was thrashed on his visit to Somerset, Massachusetts.

The infamous chant originally started on October 2nd where 28 year-old NASCAR driver Brandon Brown won a race at Talladega Superspeedway in Alabama.

While being interviewed by an NBC reporter after his big win shouts were heard from the crowd echoing “F-ck Joe Biden,” but the reporter casually suggested they were chanting “Let’s Go Brandon.” This caused a tremendous response as society began to use the friendly chant as a way to say what they really felt about the President of the United States.

In October of 2021, The Associated Press reported on members of politics using anti-Biden phrase.

“When Republican Rep. Bill Posey of Florida ended an Oct. 21 House floor speech with a fist pump and the phrase “Let’s go, Brandon!” it may have seemed cryptic and weird to many who were listening. But the phrase was already growing in right-wing circles, and now the seemingly upbeat sentiment — actually a stand-in for swearing at Joe Biden — is everywhere.

“South Carolina Republican Jeff Duncan wore a “Let’s Go Brandon” face mask at the Capitol last week. Texas Sen. Ted Cruz posed with a “Let’s Go Brandon” sign at the World Series. Sen. Mitch McConnell’s press secretary retweeted a photo of the phrase on a construction sign in Virginia.”

The legendary chant has come back as President Biden was heckled on his way to give a speech about his plans to climate change in Somerset, Massachusetts.

Protestors gathered near his motorcade and were heard booing Biden saying “let’s go, Brandon” and “go home.”

Melissa Tera, a Somerset resident and one of the organizers of the anti-Biden protest said it was “a way for people to say how they feel and let Biden know that some of us don’t appreciate some of their policies.”
