A lawsuit was recently filed against the Biden administration on behalf of the victims of terrorist attacks from the Palestinians Authority after Biden provided the weapons that led to the attacks.
America First Legal Foundation (AFL) sued on grounds that the President violated the Taylor Force Act which prohibits the U.S. government from sending taxpayer funds to the Palestinian Authority (PA) until it stops providing support for terrorism, the Washington Free Beacon reported.
“Our lawsuit seeks to stop President Biden from violating the Taylor Force Act and illegally subsidizing terrorism against Americans who visit or live in Israel,” AFL President Stephen Miller said in a press release.
“The Taylor Force Act is named after Taylor Force, a West Point graduate and U.S. Army veteran of Iraq and Afghanistan who was murdered by a Palestinian terrorist, and it prohibits the government from using U.S. taxpayer dollars to directly benefit the corrupt Palestinian Authority. Nevertheless, since January 2021, the Biden Administration has used over a billion U.S. taxpayer dollars for this illegal purpose,” Miller continued.
During the Trump administration, these funds were frozen due to the Palestinian government’s financial support for terrorists “pay-to-slay” program.
The State Department confirmed the continuation of these style payments to congress saying, “continued payments to Palestinian prisoners who had committed acts of terrorism, as well as the families of so-called ‘martyrs’ who died while committing acts of terrorism.”
“I am committed to doing everything in my power to get the accountability these families so richly deserve as we work to make sure U.S. taxpayer-funded terrorism never happens again,” Jackson told the Free Beacon.
“President Trump showed tremendous leadership when he signed the Taylor Force Act into law and ended taxpayer support for the Palestinian Authority’s terrorist activities. Joe Biden’s decision to reverse course knowing full well blood is on his hands as a result is unconscionable,” Jackson continued.
The Times of Israel reported, a call from PLO Commissioner for Prisoners’ Affairs Qadri Abu Bakr “We pay around NIS 50 million ($15 million) per month in salaries,” he said.
The State Department recently said “The Biden administration is strongly opposed to the prisoner payment system and has consistently engaged the Palestinian Authority to end this practice.”
