Co-host of “The View,” Whoopi Goldberg , recently repeated the antisemitic comments that got her temporarily banned from the show earlier this year. The actress again claimed that the Holocaust was not connected to race.
Goldberg conducted an interview with The Sunday Times of London over the weekend to reaffirm her belief that the genocide was just “white on white” violence.
“Remember who they were killing first. They were not killing racial; they were killing physical. They were killing people they considered to be mentally defective. And then they made this decision,” she said.
After the interview attempted to clarify, Goldberg doubled down saying, “It doesn’t change the fact that you could not tell a Jew on a street. You could find me. You couldn’t find them. That was the point I was making. But you would have thought that I’d taken a big old stinky dump on the table, butt naked.”
So, after supposed ‘apology’ earlier in year, Whoopi Goldberg doubles down on her vile remarks that the Holocaust was not about race, and instead ‘white on white’ violence. Someone get this ignorant fool off the air! @TheView pic.twitter.com/zxDP6PX4Ig

These comments are forcing many people to ask for her resignation from her position on television. This problematic rhetoric got Goldberg suspended in January of this year.
At the time Whoopi made a deep apology, remarking “My words upset so many people, which was never my intention,” she said at the time. “I understand why now and for that I am deeply, deeply grateful because the information I got was really helpful and helped me understand some different things.”
Her boss, ABC News President Kim Godwin was forced to apologize to her on Twitter and said “While Whoopi has apologized, I’ve asked her to take time to reflect and learn about the impact of her comments. The entire ABC News organization stands in solidarity with our Jewish colleagues, friends, family and communities.”
It seems that this lesson was not fully ingrained in the award-winning actress. The Times of Israel beautifully articulated the Jewish communities frustration with these continued incendiary remarks.
Dozens of Holocaust survivors and prominent figures are calling for Goldberg to resign from her post immediately. Both her production team and Whoopi herself have yet to respond to the backlash.
Will Goldberg just copy and paste her apology from a year ago? More coming soon!
